Why I Put An Train Horn On My Vehicle
Even though it was some years back, I can remember the day like it was yesterday. As I made my way down the street in a car that I knew and believe was the fastest and baddest car around. I was reading a pretty hilarious text message that had just been sent to me via cell phone. Since I was looking at the phone, and laughing at whatever I was reading, I failed to realized that the stop light had already turned green. When I did not snap back into reality on my own, instead there was a huge truck next to me and the driver realized that I was not paying attention as well. The driver decided to give me a helping hand and help me pay attention to the road and the green light in front of my car. Instead of honking the stock horn that came with his huge truck he decided that it was more beneficial for him to use his air horn instead.
I am not sure how many of you have ever had an experience with hearing a Air Horn but it can be a terrifying experience if you are not paying attention or did not expect it. IF at the time I was suffering from heart issues, I probably would not be here today to tell you this story since such a shock would have for sure caused a heart attack. When you have all of your attention focused on everything around you and you are not expecting to hear something that can easily bust to your eardrums, when it happens there are tons of emotions that go through your mind. I will be honest, it took me some time to get my composure together and realized what had just happened to me. I was embarassed and one of the first things I did was looked around to see if anyone saw my reaction. After that I was angry and highly offended, and there was nothing that I could do about it because the truck driver was long gone.
You may be thinking to yourself why am I telling you this story First of all make sure you pay attention to the road instead of any electronic device when driving, whether it is a cell phone or your radio. The obvious reasons for that is because you need to be aware of objects that may be in front of your car that you did not expect to be there. This can range from green lights, pedestrians, other cars, or Air Horns on huge trucks. Sure when it comes to Train Horns, almost all cars do not have this mod attached to their car but these days you never know. As crazy as it may sound this was definitely a life changing experience for me, and the truck driver thought it was hilarious. You may be one of those people who thinks doing these types of things to people is funny, and if that is the case go ahead and get a Train Horn installed on your car but PLEASE do not use it when around me.
