The interest in ebook readers has grown over the last couple of years and two main contenders for the best ebook reader have appeared, they are the amazon kindle and the Sony Reader PRS-700 , these two products have begun to really take the ebook reader to a new level . However the question remains which one is the best?
How Do The Price Compare?Often price comes into most peoples decision making process, however the difference between these two products is just$40 with the sony being $399 and the Kindle at $359. Such a small price difference would probably mean that other factors should perhaps be the deciding factor of which of these two is the best value.
So How Heavy And Big Are They In this category the two products are very near to each other again with the weight of the two machines almost the same. The Kindle comes out slightly thinner than the Sony, but then again it is a couple of inches longer. Well in the new version of the Kindle their is no support for external memory, were the sony supports up to 16G of external memory, this is a big plus, but it must be said that even with just the Kindles internal memory it can still hold up to1,500 books, for most people this would be more than enough storage. However I feel that this is a opportunity’s missed by Amazon and that an eternal memory option will return in future releases of the Kindle.

Though throughout this review it has been very close in many areas with these two machines i have to say in two specific areas the Kindle wins hands down , it has a cheaper price than the Sony and though not by much when you throw in its wireless capabilities, in my opinion this make the Kindle the clear winner as the best e-book reader
